Sacred Hospitality

John ChuchmanTrue Hospitality
is a Sacred Act,
a Sacred Way of Being.

Hospitality
which means
Compassion, Openness of Heart, and Generosity
always welcomes the stranger,
the known or unknown other
in any form,
alien or intimate,
without reserve or calculation,
whatever the cost.

Hospitality,
Angelic Hospitality,
is putting myself in the other’s place,
putting the other in my place,
caring for the other
as for myself.

True Hospitality expects no reward.
It is not economic,
is not done for a purpose,
nor for an agenda,
but for Hospitality’s sake
alone.

Hospitality

lets go of all notions of sacrifice.

Hospitality sacrifices Sacrifice.

Hospitality
is at the very Heart of the Divine.
